Health AI Overview
Health AI is a collection of educational conversation tools created by Mark M. Simonian, MD, FAAP. Some are designed for families and caregivers; others are intended for clinicians, educators, researchers, or public-health advocates.
Important: These tools provide general education and are not medical care, diagnosis, treatment, an emergency service, or a substitute for your own clinician’s judgment.
Choose the right area
Family AI
Plain-language tools to help families understand general pediatric health, safety, development, nutrition, and prevention questions. Use them to prepare for a conversation with your child’s healthcare professional—not to make individualized medical decisions.

Clinician AI
Educational and professional tools for clinicians, educators, researchers, and advocates. They may help organize questions, summarize public information, or support critical appraisal. They are not clinical decision support, do not replace institutional policy, and must not be used with protected health information.

Before you use any Health AI tool
Do not enter a child’s or patient’s name, date of birth, address, medical-record number, insurance information, photographs with identifying information, or other sensitive personal or health information.
Use a general question. For example: “What questions should I ask about a child’s persistent cough?” rather than describing an identifiable child.
Check the tool’s answer against the linked sources and discuss questions about an individual child or patient with an appropriate healthcare professional.
Call 911 for a life-threatening emergency. Do not wait for an AI response.
Privacy and access
Health AI links open in ChatGPT. A ChatGPT account is required to start a conversation. The GPT builder cannot view individual conversations. However, ChatGPT’s own privacy settings, terms, and data controls apply to a user’s conversation.
Consumer ChatGPT accounts may use submitted content to improve models depending on the user’s settings. Users should review OpenAI’s current Data Controls and avoid entering sensitive information they would not want reviewed or used.
If a tool uses external apps or actions, relevant information may be sent to that outside service. Use only tools and outside services you trust.
How tools are selected and maintained
A tool is listed as Available only after its purpose, intended audience, source materials, instructions, urgent-escalation language, privacy boundaries, and direct link have been reviewed. Tools under redesign are labeled clearly and are not presented as current pediatric guidance.
Publication status: Each tool card should display one of three labels: Available, In review, or Not currently available.
